    Great item
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
My husband and I bought this for long car rides for our 2 year old. She loves watching movies and her favorite shows while in the car. The only minor draw back is that the buttons are a little hard to push but otherwise it is great. Easy to get off and on the headrest (I recommend taking off when ever parked to prevent theft) quickly — like for potty breaks. I kept a small backpack in the back with a laptop cover to put it in for storage. Great picture and sound and I recommend using headphones.

    Great product

My little one sits in the middle in the back, and she still can see the screens.

The only problem is that she can grab the cords with her feet and move the cords to her hands. Other than that the product works great

    Great entertainment for the kids

I like this product, we did not have any problems, just wish it was easier to change the disk and press play, etc. We are in a truck and the kids are young so I have to reach back behind the drivers seat and change the disk, press play, etc. Other than that it was simple to set up and use.

    WORKS PERFECTLY

I GOT THIS DVD PLAYER WITH DUAL SCREENS FOR A RECENT TRIP TO ORLANDO . I HAVE TWO YOUNG KIDS AND IT JUST MAKES FOR A MUCH MORE ENJOYABLE DRIVE WHEN THE KIDS ARE QUIET . THE PICTURE QUALITY IS BETTER THAN I EXPECTED AND THE SOUND AND VOLUME WAS GREAT FOR IT’S SIZE . IT IS VERY EASY TO OPERATE AND WORKED WITHOUT ANY PROBLEMS .

    Works great as advertised

Bought this item prior to a road trip vacation. 12 hours each way with a 2 year old. The value associated with being able to hold my son’s attention was a lot more than what I paid for this item. We’ve been using it all the time now. The only side effect is that everytime I get in the car (even when I’m by myself), I begin to sing… “Broccoli, Celery, gotta be…” you know what’s next!

    No internal battery????
    Rating:3 out of 5 stars
Totally disappointed that this does not have a battery to allow usage without it being plugged in.

    Good in General
    Rating:4 out of 5 stars
Ver good for a long trip. Sound and image quality are good. Will be good if this DVD player can include a longer A/V cable to connect both units, the original one is to short.

If traveling with children, this is a great buy
    Rating:4 out of 5 stars
We recently traveled 19 hours over two days with 2 kids under age 5. With the movies playing the kids stayed occupied and awake. They equipement was easy to hook up and use. We did not have any trouble with the movie skipping. A remote would have been helpful but overall it made our trip a lot easier.

You get what you pay for. Decent product but has flaws
    Rating:3 out of 5 stars
We bought this in lieu of getting a factory installed overhead system and the headrest models wouldn’t fit with the style of our head rests (Saturn Outlook). looking back, we probalby should have spent the 500-800 for the overhead system. the wires and issues with the kids kicking them and getting tangled in them while getting in and out has been a pain to say the least. overall the system works well and has OK sound. the screen only monitor has to be switched on and off often to get the picture back as it disappears once an hour or so. i have no idea why but it’s too much of a pain in the butt to send it back. for $150 it is a decent buy and overall works OK. However you may think twice about spending the extra money and get it done right just for convenince and sanity.

    NO BATTERY…??!!!!!!!!!!
    Rating:1 out of 5 stars
Maybe I’m old-fashioned, but saying “portable” should mean that it can be used, say, while walking down the street — like the Walkmans from the 80s. But, here they are redefining “portable” as anything that you can plug it into your car adapter!! So, by Philips’s definition, then, EVERY ELECTRONIC IS PORTABLE — INCLUDING YOUR 42″ TV SCREEN AT HOME — because, well, you can plug it into your car adapter! This doesn’t make sense.

In short, this item is falsely advertised and the title of this item should be changed. This is really a miniature “two-in-one” (as in, has the screen and DVD together), but it is NOT portable.

Great product – kept me sane for the 10 hour trip to see grandma
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
This is a great product for the price – mind you its only about $140.

Pros- has nice picture, great sound, easy to use – my kids loved them.

cons – cheap plastic that scratches easy: when you stop the car you have to start the movie all over – it doesnt let you start where the dvd player shut off like most dvds at home. Not a huge deal for use as we were driving 10 hours each way: Also the secondary dvd player is very thin and shook a lot on the headrest. ( my headrests are curved and not flat ) But again….. For the price I think it was great and would definitely buy it again.

    Ótimo produto.
    Rating:4 out of 5 stars
The DVD player is very good, excellent image quality, the sound leaves something to be desired, but is reasonable. How to hold the DVD player in the car seat that is not very good, it should be with Velcro and a belt more, because the player is moving, it becomes stiff. Overall, great product. Recommend.

    Portable DVD
    Rating:3 out of 5 stars
Good cost/benefit. However, it has one bad thing: when you turn off the car ignition, the movie back to the beginning, different for others that I knew that starts the movie from the point that you stopped when you turn off the car.

Works for what it is, a dual screen DVD Player for the Car
    Rating:4 out of 5 stars
I have only had this about three weeks, but it works well for what it is, a dual screen DVD player for a car. Screens secure nicely to the head rests of the front seats. I have had a couple times when the Video/Audio stereo cable that sends the picture and video from the main unit to the remote unit comes loose and you loss the picture on the remote unit. Sometimes this is because a child kicks/pulls the cable. All in all, there didn’t seem to be too many choices for this type of DVD player within the $150 price range, and this unit performs well. I hope it last for the year warranty.

Doing the trick..Great alternative for ceiling mount or headrest dvd
    Rating:4 out of 5 stars
So far this is working out great. My 2yr old loves it. Its simple to use & the sound quality is good. I haven’t used the 2nd display yet (youngest is only 2 months). I like the fact I can move this between my vehicles. The selling point of this for me is it clips to the headrest…My other ones were getting bounced around & falling off the seat when turning etc..

Hope the quality of it holds up. I’ve owned a previous dvd player from Philips & it only made it a year, but again it was getting dropped & bounced around quite a bit…can’t expect much w/ it in those operating conditions.

Maybe the next generation will include a SD slot or USB support for thumb drives.

My rating: 4 out of 5.

Do not waste your money on this poor quality unit
    Rating:2 out of 5 stars
As other customers have noted, the secondary DVD monitor randomly stops working. The first day I installed this unit in our minivan, the secondary DVD monitor stopped working halfway through a three-hour car ride, resulting in a very unhappy child in our back seat. I was able to fix the problem by turning the unit off and on once we reached our destination. Fine, no problem. Then, the secondary DVD unit stopped working halfway through the three-hour return trip, again resulting in a very unhappy child in the back seat. This time, the problem did not go away when I turned the unit off and on, though the unit did miraculously work again the next day (though it quit working again shortly thereafter). If this isn’t enough to keep you from buying, consider the poor sound quality (I have the volume all the way up and the kids constantly complain that they can’t hear the dialogue), the poor picture quality (our 2 year old is critical of the picture), and the ugly wires that are barely long enough to be usable and definitely not long enough to hide under seats or car mats. Stay away from this thing!

My 3yr old grandaughter loves it!
    Rating:4 out of 5 stars
I bought this for my 6 yr old grandson & my 3 yr old grandaughter for Christmas. They have only had it a few days but they are very happy w/it. Only time tell how well it holds up.

I don’t like the fact that the (I don’t know what its called) disk reader eye is exposed when loading & unloading disk. I can see that causing problems.

The cord to attach the second screen is too short.

Picture better than the one in the home.

I bought this item for my daughter’s family for Christmas. They love it. Was easy to install in the car, the units are thin and the picture quality is great.

Two Purchases, Two Returns – 9 inch version
    Rating:1 out of 5 stars
I bought the 9 inch version at Sam’s club after looking at some reviews here. I was aware that some reviewers had trouble with one unit quitting after some time. I figured that the issue was with the 7 inch models and surely Phillips would have fixed the issue. However I was wrong. I got a great price and just like some of the other reviewers, one stopped working after about 10 days. I am pretty good with electronics but everything I tried did not work. Sam’s Club was very good about exchanging it and I thought about getting another brand but liked everything about this one. The 9 inch screens was awesome and the one cord for both players was nice. Also, there was a nice feature that when the automobile was shut off and back on again, the DVD would start back up where it left off. Ok, I figured I just got a bad one and it could not happen again. But about 7 days after getting a replacement, the same exact thing happened and the bad thing it was on the same side that quit before. This time Sam’s gave me my money back. I have a brand new vehicle and there is no problem with my electrical system; and I did try the changing the power cords on each side to no avail. I was surprised and will not buy this brand again. I have always thought highly of Philips products but for some reason they have not mastered DVD players. Very disappointed with the quality and the fact that I had to take the product back twice.

    SUPER Value!!
    Rating:4 out of 5 stars
We bought this DVD player for a 15-hour car ride (with 4 boys – ages 7, 4, 3 and 10 months, I might add) and were completely satisfied! We had no trouble with the sound quality and I don’t see what others mean by the second screen having a less-than-perfect picture, because we did not experience that at all. The unit was easy to install, it worked for us without fail – on BOTH legs of the drive – and kept my crew entertained during a long trip. Yes, the screens are lightweight, but I do not consider that a problem. For the price, I was amazed at the product. We bought a special dual screen DVD carrying case and have it safely packed away, awaiting our next trip!
