decent product with a few glitches
Rating:3 out of 5 stars
great picture – love the battery life! First purchase of this kind and am pretty happy with it.
negatives: If you pick up the machine during play it often pops the top open – needing you to start the whole process again.
Can be loud when powering up. Sometimes the audio does not match the mouths of the actors speaking. (like a bad lip sync)
remote has to be right up to machine to be effective.
Was great for about 6 months…

Decent pic and sound quality…
Initially, my only complaint was that there is no way to rewind or fast forward without using the remote.
But then, after about 6 months, it kept randomly claiming that the DVD door was open even when it wasn’t. Really annoying when you’re in the middle of watching a DVD.
Don’t Buy This!

We had this DVD player for about 3 months before it quit working. Memorex failed to fulfill the warranty and we are now out $180.
Great choice for close viewing

For years I had a 7″ player that finally bit the dust and the screen on this Memorex model seems mammoth in comparison! The on-unit controls could be a bit more intuitive, but the remote is a standard layout. The sound is like any other small player that I’ve viewed, adequate, but not it’s best feature. Overall an ideal unit for viewing DVDs within 18-24 inches. I haven’t yet run it off of the battery, so I can’t rate that feature.
